HotPixels is an application for removing noise from digital photos. CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) cameras have a known problem: some pixels get a higher charge than others. On long exposures (longer than one second), these pixels may cross the exposed value threshold, turning white. You will perceive them as white dots in your photos. These white dots are called Hot Pixels.

HotPixel Eliminator will remove most of the hot pixels from your digital photographs. It is a very simple program. All you will have to do is load the image you want to correct, and HotPixels Eliminator will instantly show you the fixed image. Both images will be displayed side by side. You can examine any part of the images by dragging the mouse over it. You can tell the program if the shot was taken in the dark or not. If the result is good enough, you can save the corrected image to disk.

This program will not remove some blue noise chunks. The author claims that checking the box "Dark Night Shots" will do the job, but as you can see in the fourth screenshot, this is not always true.
